Newcastle is arguably one of the friendliest places in the UK - hence why we wanted to explore how diverse it is in terms of the benefits it offers to people who are disadvantaged. We spoke to manager of Stepney Bank Stables, Susan Tron, a horse-riding school located right in the heart of Newcastle. Its central location is the key to its success, giving disadvantaged inner city children the chance to experience something new and would normally require a car for transport and money! The fantastic thing about this place is that it offers the oportunity of full vocational training and even the possibility of a job afterwards.
